A First Sweater for a Daily Knitter Reader

One of our readers emailed us a link to Mona's blog. She decided to take the plunge and knit her first sweater using our Kelly exclusive pattern. The sweater is a very easy knit in just 2 pieces. It turned out so nicely! She used Red Heart Bright and Lofty yarn in the color Beach. Here are 2 pics from her blog at http://knitting57039.tripod.com

    Knitting on the Stage

One of our UK readers emailed us the details on this knitting play. It's called HAT and the details are below. You are welcome to knit throughout the performance and your ticket includes a free ball of wool, needles and hat pattern.

HAT is four new stories about wool and knitting written and performed by poet and BBC Radio 3 presenter Ian McMillan with music composed and performed by Billy Jenkins. Featuring Andy Diagram (ex James) on cornet, loops and samples and Angie Harrison (ex Hallé orchestra) on viola and knitting needles.

Conceived and produced by Simon Thackray.
